Ed Golda inducted into the Window Film Hall of Fame

On Monday, Ed Golda, the founder of Michigan Glass Coatings, became the first ever inductee to the Window Film Hall of Fame. Debra Levy, publisher of Window Film Magazine, announced the prestigious award at the 2014 International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off.

Ed Golda founded Michigan Glass Coatings in 1979. His projects range in size, and he has worked on behalf of many clients. Through the course of his more than 36 years in the industry, Golda has tinted many residential and commercial buildings. One of his projects involved installing window film for some 1,200 K-mart stores throughout the U.S.

Golda worked as an industry expert as well as columnist for Window Film magazine. He has also served as a judge for the International Window Film Tint-Off™.

"Ed has been such a distinguished, crucial part of the window film industry and has helped so many throughout his years, serving as a mentor, expert and friend to those who have encountered him," Levy announced at the Conference. She added that Golda's vast contributions to the window film industry were deeply felt and appreciated.

Golda accepting the award graciously and with the humility his clients have grown accustomed to.

"Needless to say I'm speechless and that's very unusual for me," Golda said. "All I've done is sold a bunch of sticky stuff in the box. I love this industry. I lead by example and am proud of my accomplishments and I'm humbled."
