What Is C-Bond Glass Solution
A patented non-toxic, water-based “green” nanotechnology “smart solution” designed to significantly increase the strength of glass, improve glass flexibility and improve the performance of window film products by enhancing the adhesion of film to glass products. Furthermore, C-Bond improves glass safety by modifying the failure pattern in case of breakage and reducing the probability of spontaneous glass failure due to thermal stress induced by solar window film and glass products.
How Does C-Bond Work?
The C-Bond I formula is engineered to maintain original glass design integrity while dramatically increasing the technical and mechanical performance properties of the glass unit. It enables ordinary glass to dissipate energy by permeating the glass surface and detecting microscopic flaws and defects that are randomly distributed all over the glass surface. C-Bond’s unique qualities then work to target and repair the identified surface imperfections that weaken the glass composite structure and ultimately act as failure initiators. As a result, the C-Bond formula dramatically increases glass strength and flexibility and also expands the allowable adhesive (PSA) bonding area on the glass surface thereby improving the performance properties of window film products.
